Review of The Wild Bunch (1969) by Jimmy M — 09 Oct 2012
Sam Peckinpah's classic film about a group of aging outlaws in search of one last score. Holden leads the pack with a great performance as an embittered old man trying to hide is age, his first mate is played with a subtle sweetness by Borgnine.
The two men's bromance is the center of the film along with the great cinematography and action scenes. This movie set the standard for action gore, not so bloody as some movies today but for its time it certainly pushed the envelope.
