It take a mad genious like Herzog to take stockfootage from NASA and a couple documentary bits and turn it into compelling Sci-Fi story. Brad Dourif is the narrator/alien that wanders the deserted planet earth in the future to tell us what went wrong.
A great movie to watch if you want to widen your cinematic mind. (I think he need to calm down with the chanting music that he uses in all of his music).
