Review of The Wild Angels (1966) by Jim L — 10 May 2008
Great music soundtrack, loads of fuzz guitar from David Allan and the Arrows. Film plot goes from dull to mildly offensive. The speech in the Church for the biker funeral is immortalised by Primal Scream when they sampled the "Just what is it that you wanna do?" - "We wanna be free to do what we wanna do.
And we wanna get loaded". Classic! Fonda acts well. Sinatra stinks up most of her scenes. Lots of swastikas and nazi flags in this film - not sure why. The bikes are cool.
