The story goes back and forth between present day and the slow crawl from when the couple first met to a series of events that would lead to the dramatic finalà (C). Glenn Close is that actress who is just in striking distance of an Oscar but has not given that forceful enough performance to garner one. If she gets nominated for this one, it will still be an uphill battle given the number of performances springing up to be award nomination worthy.
