Review of The Wicker Man (2006) by Spencer S — 23 Jan 2010
The Wicker Man: I really wish people would stop saying this movie sucks just because the critics say it sucks. Honsetly, the movie wasnt all that terrible. The suspense kept me wondering what happened to the little girl the whole time.
Nicholas Cage once again does a pretty good job acting, people need to get over it and realize that he is not that bad of an actor. I will agree with some people and say this is not a horror, sure it creeped the hell out of me but it was far from horror.
There were at times, very small times, when the acting could have been bette. But that happens in every movie. I love Nicholas Cage after seeing him in this and Knowing, and now he is starring in the horror film Season of the Witch, which will no doubt be good.
Nicholas Cage should star in more movies like this and Knowing, he is good at portraying the helpless/depressed/pissed off badass character. People need to stop copying their faviorte critics and give their own opinion.
I give this film an A-.
