Review of The Wicker Man (2006) by Freeman M — 31 Aug 2013
A stellar achievement in accidental comedy. The Wicker Man is a non-stop showcase of Nicolas Cage at his best (worst?), trying to make something out of one of the most horrendous, nonsensical horror movie scripts ever written.
I mean, come on, it's got Nic Cage romping around in a bear suit, decking people in the face for almost no reason. And it plays it dead serious too. What's not to like?
It's Manos: the Hands of Fate type of bad, but it's The Happening type of good.
