Review of The Wicker Man (1973) by Marc B — 29 Jan 2012
Much better than the sequel. Rated this a while ago, but just watched this one again last night on Demand. Now I remember why I rated it so highly! Edward Woodward is just wonderful. Nudity was so commonplace. And the children are taught from a very early age about sex in the bawdiest manner. The scene where he finds the two dolls in a sexual position on a kids bed is just disturbing.
Although, I was getting to the point where I was thinking, "Hey, it may be better for the kids than watching people kill each other all day long on video games and TV." But, then they had to go and spoil it by laughing at poor Mr. Woodward up in that wicker man. lol.
I remember why I liked Britt Eckland. But Christopher Lee's hair has got to go.
