Review of The Wicker Man (1973) by Wezul S — 08 Jun 2014
The Wicker Man is possibly one of the most intelligent horror films of the century, not just because of it's insane originality and performances, but because of it's exploration of the relentless clashing of faiths that occurs throughout history and the world.
It paints the picture of the religious fish out of water with the protagonist, who falls victim to the island's customary sacrifice. The sergeant begs logic over faith, the irony being that his Christian faith is constantly under attack for it's lack of logic itself.
