Review of The Wicker Man (1973) by Nick B — 26 Jan 2009
One of the best films ever made in the UK, period. The escalating religious tension and the increasing paranoia is handled incredibly well by all involved, and Paul Giovanni's soundtrack is brilliant - like Love's Forever Changes, but even more creepy.
Plus, you get to see Britt Ekland naked, and you realize where half the jokes in League of Gentlemen come from. What more can you want from a film?
