Review of The Wedding Singer (1998) by Fred V — 12 Nov 2011
Can we get more of these types of movies and less "Jack and Jill"-type movies (no I haven't seen it yet but I don't need to to know it sucks). This is one of my favorite Sandler movies, because while it's funny and has a killer 80s soundtrack, it's also really sweet and he has some great chemistry with Drew Barrymore.
They made a musical out of this less than ten years later, and I loved that version too. If you haven't seen it yet, give it a shot. It's got every rom-com cliche in the book, but it's surprisingly well-put together.
