Review of The Weather Man (2005) by Paulf. — 11 Nov 2005
This movie was exactly what I expected it to be, Good but not great. What's sad is that with just a bit of tweeting it could have been great. The flaws among other things were the not so subtle advertising of certain fast food companies.
I hate it when movies advertise for companies. We pay for entertainment not advertisements. Another flaw is the movie seemed to draw on towards the end and did not succintly make a profound point. There were functional points to be made such as being present and accepting yourself for who you are but these points don't seem that profound to me any more, just plain common sense.
On the up side the movie was well acted. honorable mention to Michael Caine. The movie seemed to have a realism about it which was not ment to be a downer but more so to show something and learn from it.
There were truly some funny moments that most males can relate to. In short it well worth seeing, but do not expect perfection.
