The provocative follow-up to Tsai's sentimental "What Time Is It There" draws some elements of his earlier work, The Hole, but creates a more unique and darker vision. Tsai created a middle short film to link the two entitled, "The Skywalk Is Gone" which is necessary when watching The Wayward Cloud.
