Katie is a very worthy, clever and headstong heroine - trouble is that wasnt what Hubble was looking for, something he just couldn't handle. A crying shame (literally) she loved him for everything she knew he could be, I think he just wanted someone to love him for who he was - a valid point.
Oh and be pretty on his arm and darn his socks just damn fine.
