Review of The Way We Were (1973) by Jay H — 13 Aug 2008
I have heard so much about this movie and I love the title song but really! Streisand is great but Redford could might as well have been a cardboards cut out. The energy between the actors do not carry the story the way it should.
For the life of me, I do not get why K-K-K-Katie falls for this guy. If this is a story about an extra ordinary love that doesn't survive in the "real" world then by golly, is it too much to ask for a little friggin' extra ordinary love? Huge disappointment.
(Two stars to Streisand.).
