Apparently there is a great deal of controversy as to whether the event portrayed in this film really happened or not, but even if they didn't, Weir's story is compelling and engaging. If you can't get past the veracity of the story, then you can still be awed by the setting and scenery.
The landscapes are breathtaking. Grade: B+.
