Review of The Waterboy (1998) by Desmond Hbk L — 27 Dec 2012
This sometimes really weird comedy is almost a remake of an older Adam Sandler-film, Happy Gilmore. Only this time, it's not golf he turns out to be good at, but American Football. Sandler is fine as the waterboy, and it's especially the supporting actors that add to the enjoyment, notably Cathy Bates and Henry Winkler.
Everything Sandler makes, seems to do exceptionally well at the box office in the US. The huge revenu for this film seems slightly ridiculous; it's a pretty good comedy, but not much more than that.
