This is Russell Crowe's return to his glory days. Absolutely amazing movie and for anyone, like me, that has had the privilege of standing at ANZAC cove, the Blue Mosque in Istanbul and shares an affinity for Australian History this movie will transport you back in time to 1915.
Beautifully bought to the screen. A movie that draws you in so deep that you can't avoid an emotional commitment to the characters. It also offers the audience a broader aspect of the cost of war, not only to the Allied forces but also the country that defended herself , there was an audible gasp of realization through the cinema on a number of occasions I could have walked straight back in and watched it again.
Powerful movie....don't miss it.
