Review of The Watch (2012) by Spencer K — 05 May 2013

I don't understand why this has a 16%. It wasn't that awful. The Watch does have some funny parts in it, but a lot of the jokes fall flat. There are some jokes that were meant to be soem of the funniest jokes, turned out not to even be funny.

needless to say, I did laugh a few times. The directing is just plain. It's nothing amazing and it's not awful. It's just decent. The CGI and visuals aren't very good either. The aliens look very fake and almost clay-like.

The script isn't the best either. It makes a lot of vulgar jokes and things without actually making funny jokes. It highly favors vulgarity of true humour. With such a talented cast, I guess I just expected a bit more.

however, the acting wasn't horrible I just thought it would be funnier knowing the comedic talent in the cast. Overall, The Watch is a sometimes funny movie, that favors vulgarity over a lot of things.

It does have some funny parts, just it's very few of them. It is entertaining though. I just felt like it wasn't enough considering the talent and somewhat promising plot.
