I like but don't love this movie. (Put down your baseball bat, Fury.) But a remake? Can I dig it? No. I said the same thing about The Evil Dead, and was wrong, but that movie was about some kids in the woods, not a city spanning manhunt.
Some movies don't work in today's world: Assault on Precinct 13, for example. In a movie age reliant upon rehashes of already established characters and franchises, pick something else to experiment with.
