Review of The Ward (2010) by Pourya E — 09 Jul 2011
Seems like a cheap ripoff of every other film placed in an asylum (or any other recent psychological thriller for a matter of fact). Even though there was an actual twist in the end, it wasn't even close to being original.
Nevertheless, some shots were really beautiful, plus some sequences were very scary, specially the last one. The vibe itself was pretty scary, which would make it an average horror film, but not only the plot lacks originality, also the lines were horribly written and the acting didn't help at all.
Not what I expected from a John Carpenter's movie.
