Effective and well made. Unfortunatly due to the long release time it got, it's come at the tail end of other ward movies.

I really enjoyed The Ward for what it was. However Carpenter fans will most certainly be disappointed. I found it was a good return to form.

To be honest, Carpenter has more than paid his dues. I'm quite happy seeing him make this type of small movie, even if he isn't behind the script.
