Review of The Ward (2010) by Joshua W — 24 Aug 2011
The accurate period design and direction by John Carpenter earn this two stars. Unfortunately the plot is predictable to the point of unpredictability. By this I mean the plot twist is so predictable that when it actually happens it would be more surprising had it not happened.
I also felt nothing for the majority of the characters. I liked the little girl with the stuffed rabbit, and Jared Harris did great as the doctor (although this is a character he could've played in his sleep).
But it's really nothing we haven't seen before many times and better. For Carpenter completists only.
