Review of The Ward (2010) by Tyler S — 13 Oct 2011
I enjoyed this film personally. John Carpenter still proves he is a suspense master and although the film takes a long time to kick off, it all comes together and keeps you on the edge of your seat around the end.
The cast may not be a top class, star struck ensamble, but the performances were still great. Visually, the film is stunning, and that is what Carpenter is most credited for, his amazing visual flair.
The weakest point of the film is the plot. It basically centres on a woman who is sent to a mental institution where she is haunted and terrorized by a ghost, but the ending reveals all the answers. It may not compare to Halloween, but I blieve this deserves atleast 2.
8 - 2.9 stars.
