Review of The War Zone (1999) by Dan K — 23 Aug 2010
Itâ??s been about 10 years since I last saw this film, so I wanted to check it out again. Tim Rothâ??s directorial debut (and so far only directed film) tells the story of an English family that is torn apart by a horrible secret.
A very disturbing and hard film to watch, the direction and the acting is amazing. Ray Winstone and Tilda Swinton are great as always, but itâ??s really the son and the daughter who stand out, they do a brilliant job of acting without saying anything, now this is how you show emotions.
1999 was an amazing year for film and The War Zone is one of the best from that year.
