Review of The War Zone (1999) by Simon M — 22 May 2010
Tim Roth dares a sinister look on everything sexual abuse can destroy. He doesn't even try to make the matter entertaining - simply because it shouldn't be. The War Zone builds up a rich imagery of darkness, which is absorbing in an eerie sort of way.
A depressing, but competent and important movie.
