Review of The War of the Worlds (1953) by Courtney I — 23 Aug 2008
Its fun. Just enough. If you're curious. You're not missing anything if you skip it in this lifetime. While it was probably amazing and terrifying in 1953, it's nothing but over-acting and comedy gold 55 years later.
It is an interesting parallel to the similar scenes in Spielberg's version. For that alone I'd recommend it.
