Review of The War of the Roses (1989) by Jeremy I — 23 Nov 2007
Fascinating movie. The premise of a movie entirely about a happily married couple completely turning on each other in a divorce. It shows the tragedy and downfall of a family in an exaggerated, yet realistic scenario.
When Danny DeVito begins to talk about the end result in any divorce, he says how there is no way to win. It is just a degree of losing. Kind of puts a dark societal subject into an even darker movie.
