A coming of age flick set in the bronx, new york in 1963. the beauty of this film is that it has that "happy days", "american graffiti" nostalgia going on but there is an edge. people do get beat up and hurt in the story. which gives it a more realistic feel.
This movie came out in 1979 - not 73 like it says here. I remember liking it when I was a kid. now watching in 30 years later I realize I didn't get a lot of what was going on but I still like it.
