An extra star for the soundtrack - which is great. BUT - this coming of age story is more closely reminiscent of a fever dream in a claustrophobic closet where racism and sexism run so rampant you can almost forget the plot.
Which there really isn't any of. Go watch this ones twin 'The Warriors' and have a much better time.
