Review of The Walking Dead (1936) by Chris L — 08 Apr 2010
Surprisingly good horror/thriller directed by Michael Curtiz, future director of Casablanca and many other classics. Boris Karloff plays the titular character in a sympathetic, considered performance that references his more famous role as Frankenstein's monster both explicitly, but also with sublety and intelligence.
The musical score is also very good.
