Review of The Walking Dead (1936) by John M — 29 Oct 2010
Strange film about karma overtaking a bunch of gangsters. Karloff is a sort of emo zombie, framed for murder and electrocuted just as exculpatory evidence emerges. He is revived by SCIENCE (Ed Gwenn more mad scientist than usual) and slowly guilts the bad guys into accidental deaths in a short span of time.
Loads of Frankenstein themes throughout but the whole thing never gels into anything cohesive.
