Review of The Walker (2007) by Lobo C — 30 Aug 2007
It's like American Gigolo (by the same director) without Richard Gere (thank god) and nearly without a plot. Oh and without the sex, because the Walker only walks - in fact he only offers friendship to ladies of a certain age without financial consideration.
Woody Harrelson's performance was a bit pastiche at times but otherwise creditable. The protagonist was a good person and took what happened to him with grace. It dragged in places but not a bad effort in exposing the supericiality and sordidness of Washington.
Bacall, Tomlin and Scott Thomas were brave in appearing visually not at all flattering.
