Review of The Walk (2015) by Mahesh H — 09 Oct 2015
The Walk is a True Story of Philippe Petit who became famous by his high-wire walk across the twin towers of World Trade Centre. Joseph Gordon-Levitt as Petit narrates the key incidents thorough out the movie. Though its genre is Drama, the director has created it in such a way it is a wonderful thriller. Movie narrates how Philip obsessed with WTC towers and learns high-wire walk from one of the legends Papa Rudy played by Ben Kingsley. On the eve of Aug 6, Philip and his crew executes what they called "The Coupe". Aug 7 New Yorker's saw Philip and his 45 minute performance. The movie give detailed narration and execution of the "the coupe". At many places, you can feel heart up your throat. Scenes like Philip lying back on wire in mid air, taking bow, turning back in that wonderful style will leave you speechless. I really miss this watching in iMax :(.
It's really an adventurous thriller drama you should watch on really big screen & on 3D..
