Review of The Walk (2015) by Sherrill F — 11 Jan 2017
It baffles me that anyone doesn't enjoy this film. The true story behind how Phillippe Petit performed this stunning feat is enough to make it worth a movie, and the effects take this to a new level.
With the tragedy of 9/11, this poetic moment decades earlier is all the more special. There are a few cheesy moments that could have been avoided, but that doesn't tarnish this great film. And Joseph Gordon-Levitt's spoken French and French mannerisms are absolutely superb.
Amazing that he's not a native speaker.
