Review of The Walk (2015) by Christopher H — 11 Oct 2015
I haven't watched the documentary "Man on Wire" based on this same true story. So looking at this by itself, I think it's a great film. It is very well acted, beautifully directed, beautifully shot, and quite intense.
Joseph Gordon-Levitt pulled off a great performance as Phillipe Petit, and Robert Zemeckis did a great job directing. It's very neat how the film takes you through Petit's life from childhood to adulthood, as well as his inspiration for being a wire artist.
I am not going to spoil anything, but that last act had me at the edge of my seat. This film is definitely worth seeing, especially in 3D.
