Review of The Walk (2015) by Mike C — 30 Jan 2017
Good movie because it's an insane story. Perhaps it would barely be notable if the Twin Towers still stood today.
I believe the documentary on the same subject won an Oscar a few years ago. So why make a movie like this? Not real sure, actually. I own the documentary but wouldn't really watch it again. I have it more for historical value. This movie is easier to watch and seems to stay close to the facts. I guess there is value in that...creating a package that distributes the history to a bigger audience. Gordon-Levitt is always solid and did a nice job as the peculiar Frenchman who had the nerve to wire walk the towers.
