Review of The Walk (2015) by 'Michael S — 23 Oct 2015
Some years ago I fell in love with a documentary called Man On Wire (2008). It was about this very subject. It's an incredible film I would recommend people watch. The Walk is also.
That I'm a massive Gordon-Levitt fan aside, casting was great. In a movie where cinematography is critical to get the effect of this height, they nailed it. I've read that The Walk is causing vertigo, dizziness, and even anxiety in movie-goers. That's awesome.
A few scenes seemed forced and I thought the relationship between Kingsley's character and the lead didn't have enough emotional involvement placed on them until the end.
The Walk was fantastic and should be seen on the big screen because of the effort put into making everything seem so big and how effective it was.
