A first-rate, incredibly ambitious horror film that is full of humor, suspense, and thrilling twists. The ingenious premise centers around a shlubby cop who is thrust into a demonic horror movie. Think Paul Blart: Mall Cop being dropped into Hereditary and you'll get the gist.
It's beautifully made, and despite its 2 and a half hour runtime, The Wailing is compelling from beginning to end.
