Review of The Wages of Fear (1953) by Emil A — 22 Jun 2007
Grim and gritty. The cinematography is clean and technically well-done, and the tension is palpable throughout. Pacing is what makes this film, tho' the simple yet profound character development must be mentioned.
Scores bonus points for having been heavily censored in the US for being insufficiently reverent of capitalism.
