Review of The Wages of Fear (1953) by Sergio M — 20 Nov 2008
Steinbeck, auster, fante, hitchcock, even mills. all come to mind while watching this tale of sweat and guts and desperation. the first part is a bit too slow and all over the place and full of pretty bad acting (particularly vera clouzot, reallly bad), but the minute the trucks come into play the film just becomes an epic story that grips you and never lets go.
