Magnificent! HG Clouzot probably made 3 masterpieces and this is certainly one of them. The slow build up, the arc of the narrative, the mounting tension, the brutality of the fire scenes, the journey of the 4 main characters all makes for one great movie.
Oh, and Vera Clouzot is so darn sexy!
