Review of The Wages of Fear (1953) by Steve W — 31 Aug 2010
Let's say I liked Diabolique better. This film is great for its tension and themes of greed, but it takes way too long to get underway. Nothing but bickering and talking for 45 minutes, and then the adventure finally gets underway.
Taking its time, the adventure itself is really tense. A few cool obstacles to overcome both from nature and from oneself, but I saw that ending coming a mile away.
