Review of The Wages of Fear (1953) by Geonard Y — 23 Jul 2006
Wages of Fear is one of the slowest paced movies I've ever watched. I saw it the same day I watched the Henri-Georges Clouzot film, Diabolique.
For all of the talk about how intense this movie is, I thought it was more on the boring side. It didn't help that the characters weren't very likable. Although, I felt that the ending redeemed the film a little bit, it felt like a very good way to end it for one reason or another.
I suppose I was just expecting something completly different and so I was dissappointed.
