Review of The Wackness (2008) by Vaibhav W — 06 Nov 2009
Great feel good/coming of age movie. Really liked it. Everyone was good in it and the stories were all interesting. Ben Kingsley steals the movie as a drug addicted, pill popping, street talking shrink.
This is the same guy who played Gandhi and a psycho in Sexy Beast so well. Well here is another memorable performance to add to those two stand out performances for me. He's brilliant but it was also strangely disturbing watching him sleeping with Famke Janssen, just no Ben! Leave her alone! Didn't even realise Mary-Kate Olsen was in the movie until doing this review.
The director must have been a good friend of Sir Ben's is all I can say. Cracking little movie.
