Review of The Wackness (2008) by Robert P — 19 Dec 2010
New York movies always star New York. This one also has Ben Kingsley, which is always a bonus. It's seriously druggy, which is over the top in my opinion. And Josh / Luke as a drug dealer seems far too relaxed about his chances of getting busted.
It's a worthy evocation of a time and place, and the dynamic between the two male leads is the best feature. Other characterisations are flimsy. Enjoyable but implausible.
