FROM THE WRAP (MY FAVORITE ONLINE JOURNAL).

Drafthouse Films Acquires Obscure 1979 Sci-Fi Movie 'The Visitor,' Starring John Huston.

Michael J. Paradise directed the obscure genre title.

Drafthouse Films has acquired North American rights to Michael J. Paradise's 1979 genre film "The Visitor," which stars legendary filmmaker John Huston as an intergalactic warrior.

A new HD restoration from the original film materials is planned for a theatrical, home-video and VOD/digital release later in the year.

More to come...

Screw you Archie . . . THE VISITOR IS FREAKING AWESOME!!!!! I LOVE THE SOUNDTRACK by FRANCO MICALIZZI . . . FRANCO NERO (who IS DJANGO) plays Jesus at the end. Glen Ford is in it as is Shelly Winters and LANCE HENRIKSON . . . OVIDIO G. ASSONITIS produces it (he did BEYOND THE DOOR and TENTICOLI) ----- google me "Gordon Franklin Terry Sr" --- I now have over 82,000 readers! ----- again, THE VISITOR (aka Stridulum) is AWESOME (a little incoherent . . . but awesome and hardly obscure" --- I have 82,144 readers at least --- I know what I'm talking about or so many people would not have visited me.

---.

JHS knows What Good is YAY!!!! . . . I've known about THE VISITOR since watching it on WXTF-29 in Philadelphia in 1981 when I was 10 years old. Hardly obscure, THE WRAP better get with it, because in my circle, The Visitor is an annoyingly incoherent film, that's awesome. and my son pointed out that the theme song by Franco Micalizzi is used in a Sponge Bob episode as well as some Night of the Living Dead '68 cues. --- --------------google me: "Gordon Franklin Terry Sr" I have 82 THOUSAND 144 Views. (no bad for one person with no marketing and/or no advertising).

Star studded, utterly confusing science-fiction/horror/thriller movie.

(Shelly Winters, John Huston, Glen Ford, FRANCO NERO is JESUS, Lance Henrikson) . . . in 1979 The Italians HAD MONEY and could buy-up all the name stars.

It seems like the little girl is possessed by an evil alien force and John Huston and a band of angels are dispatched to save the little girl.

Franco Michalizzi's MUSIC is AWESOME!!!!! (a funky version of THUS SPAKE ZARANTHUSTRA--heard in 2001: A SPACE ODYSSEY).

The soundtrack is entitled STRIDULUM and is contained on an album entitled ETIOLE . . . and my spelling is bad.

Correction:

Stridulum.

Micalizzi.

Etoile.

When it aired on channel 29-WXTF in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania USA, THE VISITOR was uncut and I heard the world "shit" for the very first time on Television.

The little girl's mother was stuck in the snow and the alien ship was landing . . .

(yes: a TOTAL 90 %) because THE VISITOR is confusing. its supposed to be out on DVD . . . I bought a VHS videocassette for $.25 cents.
