Review of The Visit (2015) by Trilobiteg — 12 Sep 2015
An exciting blend of horror and comedy. The Visit has trouble shifting tones at certain points, but when it wants to be funny, it's laugh out loud hilarious and when it wants to be scary, it can be scary.
There should be a better 50/50 split of the tones but honestly I dug the **** out of this movie. The Kids were great in this film and can act very well, so can the grandparents. What I really admired about this movie is that it always kept you guessing and was very well shot for found footage because the young girl shooting it is very professional since she wants to be a director.
The films ending was hands down the best part, very intense and you wanted to know what was happening all at once. A burst of excitements every once in a while leading up to that was magnificent. Really recommend checking this one out, and I hope M Night discovers what he can do best from this flick.
