No One Loves You Like Your Grandparents.

Hello Kiddies your pal the crypt critic here and let me tell you something I may not have seen a lot of Shyamalan films but from the one's I have seen I hate him as a director. All three of them( After Earth, The Happening and Last Airbender) were boring and stupid.

This is Shymalan's fifth horror film( the only one that I've seen of his) and I've got to say It was a wondrous amazement of creepiness that had a boring payoff. The terrifying story of a brother and sister who are sent to their grandparents' remote Pennsylvania farm for a week-long trip. Once the children discover that the elderly couple is involved in something deeply disturbing, they see their chances of getting back home are growing smaller every day.

The film feels like another paranormal activity with a character recording everything(only in this film it has purpose) with the daughter trying to make a documentary about her family issues and since her mother won't answer a question with her and her grandparents want to see her, she thinks it would be a great opportunity to meet them and finish her film. But her and her brother notice strange things happening at night after nine thirty. They reveal character development but not much to actually give me a reason to care. The actors portraying the kids do a fine job though.

But this is the right direction for Shyamalan as director, he is working with this same studio to make another horror film starring James Mcovey let's just hope the next one is more fun and creepy. I'm giving The Visit a three out of five.
