Review of The Visit (2015) by Cole W — 16 Jan 2018
This was a fairly low key horror that never really got going. Whether that's because the film was just genuinely poor, or whether the third person camera filming took its toll, or even whether the premise of two delusional old people not being all that scary has something to do with it, I'm not sure.
I guess the fact that the pensioners were torturing a couple of young kids made it more feasible, otherwise a grown adult would be more physically and mentally able to control the situation from the off.
It wasn't all that scary, and despite having a brief twist of genius towards the end, that was a high point in what was otherwise a very solemn and quiet tale about grandkids staying with their long lost grandparents whilst their mother has a holiday away with her boyfriend.
