Review of The Visit (2015) by Guido S — 27 Oct 2016
Shyamalan is back to form: making incredibly poor movies with terrible twists.
A couple of kids go to visit their grandparents for a week and document the whole thing. But they aren't quite what they seem when they do strange things at night and have a shed full of poo filled adult diapers.
This film doesn't know what t wants to be: is it a laugh out loud comedy or a thrilling horror movie. It doesn't do either well so straddling the line only makes it worse. Plus the boy keeps rapping poorly, is that supposed to be a commentary on Shyamalan, too?
It just isn't interesting and when things do pick up, you're bored out of your mind and excited just because you know the movie is about to finish.
